Holy Masses for Sunday, October 20th -29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Please join us for Holy Mass on Sunday, October 20th. Masses will be offered at 11 am and at 5 pm.

Confessions are available after Masses.

On every 1st Sunday of the month, the ordinaries of the Mass are sung in Gregorian chant; you can download a PDF of the Missa de Angelis setting here.

October is the month of the Holy Rosary

October Rosary

By tradition, the Catholic Church dedicates each month of the year to certain devotions. The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. The ESM community will celebrate this special month by praying the Rosary together on these days at St. Bernhard's:
    •    Sundays at 12pm (after the 11am Mass) and at 4:30pm (before the 5pm Mass)
    •    Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm

RCIA/OCIA Classes open for enrollment

Becoming Catholic

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults/ Order of Christian Initiation of Adults comprises the series of classes and rites involved in becoming a Catholic.  Classes start October 24th, 2024. Please register by contacting the ESM Office at alsda46@aol.com.

You can enroll to find out more about the Catholic faith, asking questions and receiving answers along the way. After individual discernment with your guides, you may decide to join the Church and receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) during the Easter Vigil. However, a commitment to Baptism is NOT a requirement for joining the course.

 

Tuesday Evening Lectio Divina Group - Diving into the Sunday Readings

The traditional monastic practice of Lectio Divina (Latin for “holy/divine reading”) provides a way to enter into Sacred Scripture as a living Word for our time. Lectio Divina becomes more about divine listening than divine reading when we take the time to do it. This is why we pray Lectio Divina — to become better listeners of the Lord, to hear more clearly what God is asking of us - opening ourselves to peace, gratitude, and living rooted in Christ.

Friday Adoration at All Saints

We all face trials and carry burdens in our journey of life. However, as Christians, we do not carry these crosses alone. There is One who walks with us, helps us and brings peace to our hearts, if we turn to Him. So, come and find rest and peace before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. 

Every 3rd Friday between 11am and 1pm, there will be Eucharistic Adoration in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel at All Saints Church (Hüttenweg 46, 14195 Berlin).

Bible Discussion Group

The Bible Discussion group will meet on Saturday, October 5th, at 17.00 h in the parish hall at St. Bernard. This group is open to young and old alike.

Women at the Well - Women's Group

Women of all ages are welcome to join our “Women at the Well” group. We meet weekly on Monday mornings between 10:15-11:15am on Zoom, to pray with the Book of Ecclesiastes through Lectio Divina.

God made us for community, to share His love, so this is also a time for laughter, friendship, support, encouragement and spiritual growth.
