New Small Group! - Wisdom of the Saints

This is the first Meeting! (The original start date had to be postponed due to illness - Sorry everyone!)

How can Saints speak to us in our own life situations today, become our friends, and help us to deepen our faith? How can their example and words truly draw us closer to God? These questions form the foundation of our new ESM open small group: Wisdom of the Saints.

Children's Liturgy

CLW

St. Bernard's offers Children's Liturgy for children aged between 2 and 8 years during 11am Sunday Masses on two Sundays of each month, usually the 1st and 3rd Sunday. This is for children who have not yet made their First Holy Communion.
Children’s Liturgy gives young children a joyful and age-appropriate way to hear and understand the Sunday readings during Mass.
    •    Children and at least one parent will sit in the front pews and be dismissed from the main congregation to gather separately (in the parish center) for a short time to listen to the Gospel in simple language, explore its meaning through discussion or activities, and learn how God’s message speaks to their everyday lives.
    •    Afterwards, they return to the main congregation, helping them feel included, prepared, and more connected to the celebration of the Eucharist.

Tuesday Evening Lectio Divina Group - Diving into the Sunday Readings (ONLINE)

The traditional monastic practice of Lectio Divina (Latin for “holy/divine reading”) provides a way to enter into Sacred Scripture as a living Word for our time. Lectio Divina becomes more about divine listening than divine reading when we take the time to do it. This is why we pray Lectio Divina — to become better listeners of the Lord, to hear more clearly what God is asking of us - opening ourselves to peace, gratitude, and living rooted in Christ.
